Introduction

My daughter was just 11 months old when we learned that she was allergic to lots of different foods and environmental triggers. Eggs, wheat, dairy, nuts and tree nuts, sesame, and seafood were all out for her. I clearly remember how overwhelming that felt and how I wandered the grocery stores peering at labels trying to figure out what to feed her. She's 4 now, and we've had lots of adventures and misadventures since then so I am starting this blog to offer ideas, products, recipes and encouragement to other families who may be facing something similar. I can honestly tell you that once you get used to it allergies are liveable. They are prominent in our lives but they don't control us. We still live life to the fullest-cooking, traveling, learning and growing. Here's to many adventures with allergies!
